Meet Jim
Jim Goldie has been training racehorses in Scotland for many years and has become one of the country’s most recognisable Flat trainers.
His stable has produced a long list of popular and successful horses, with runners competing at racecourses throughout Britain.
He is helped in the yard by his two sons, George and Jim Jnr Goldie, who work closely with him to keep the stable running smoothly.
Johnnie Delta Racing operates as part of Jim’s racing set-up, giving members a direct connection to an established professional racing yard.
The approach
Every horse is different.
Successful racing is about patience, understanding the individual horse and finding the right races at the right time.
The JDR philosophy is built around giving each horse the opportunity to develop, progress and compete at the level that suits them best.

The JDR connection
Johnnie Delta Racing was established in 2013 and has grown to become a long-standing and integral part of Jim Goldie’s racing operation.
Over the years, JDR members have enjoyed some unforgettable days following horses trained by Jim and his team.
The black and yellow colours have been carried by some hugely popular horses, from high-class performers such as Jack Dexter and Hawkeyethenoo to memorable JDR favourites including Call Me Ginger, Jonny Delta, Lord of the Glen and Tommy G.
There have been big-race days, winners across Britain and countless memories along the way, but the principle behind JDR has always remained the same — bringing racing enthusiasts closer to the horses, the yard and the excitement of following a racing team together.
More than a decade later, that relationship continues, with today’s JDR team of ten racehorses all trained by Jim Goldie and his team in Scotland.
The next JDR favourite could be just around the corner.
